I’m back and ready to share some fun news with everyone!

Last weekend was very jam packed, but so much fun. I turned 21 on Saturday and on Sunday I did my first market as a vendor! I had such a blast all weekend and it was a non-stop party.

My first vendor experience was with Tacoma Sunday Market in the Lincoln District. The Tacoma Sunday Market happens every Sunday from 10am to 3pm and it is such an amazing market that emphasizes community. Let me tell ya, it is THE market to go to with THE BEST vendors. Every single person working and every customer was such a joy to meet. I was able to connect with so many people and enjoyed all the fun chats I had with all the cool cats there.

The Tacoma Sunday Market is put on by a fantastic team of individuals who have created such a fun and wonderful community and experience. I came across the market on Instagram one day through a post shared by a mutual and figured I had to check it out. I ended up scrolling through their Instagram page and found such a great community that I just had to get involved in. They partner with so many small, local businesses and provide a space for these businesses to grow and flourish. After some scrolling and a visit to their market, I knew I had to apply to be a vendor ASAP!

A couple weeks before the June 20th market I had filled out and sent in my application to be a vendor and patiently waited to see if I got in. On June 13th I got the exciting email and was accepted to be a vendor! With the great news and a week to prepare, I went to work and got everything ready for my big weekend!

The week leading up to the market was lots of hard work and preparation. I was running around town looking for all the must haves for the sale and making sure I didn’t forget one thing, I was so excited and wanted my first vendor experience to be the best it could be. I turned my kitchen into my personal workshop once more and made all the earrings I could.

Sunday was right around the corner and so was my 21st birthday, I was feeling all types of things. My birthday was Saturday and the market was Sunday, so not only was I preparing for my sale but also my birthday. Instead of going wild for my 21st, I kept it simple and sweet with a dinner with friends and a night of bowling. Saturday was the perfect way to relax and get ready for my big day as vendor at the market.

Now it was Sunday, I was packing the car and ready to go. I got to the market at 9:30 am and started setting up my booth. The sun was shining and I was feeling great and ready to go! Finally, 10:30 am hit and people started filling the market. While I was there I made sure to make a loop around the market to go check out other vendors and see the goodies they had. There were so many cool vendors that I met and everyone was so welcoming.

After a quick loop around I made it back to my spot and was ready to chat it up with customers. I was greeted by so many beautiful faces and so many people who showed support for my earrings. I made new friends and had such a fun time connecting with my customers and others.

Overall, my first vendor experience was a success. I made some fantastic connections and met so many amazing people. I am so grateful for the experience and will be back to the market July 25th; make sure to mark it on your calendar!

I didn’t take many pictures this weekend, but I had to share the pictures I did get! Some pictures of my 21st and some of the market, the best of both worlds :)
